What each check means

Passive voice isn't always wrong -- "the site was hacked" can be exactly the right emphasis. But paragraphs where every sentence is passive read like a legal disclaimer. This flags candidates for a look, not a rewrite order.

Long sentences over ~25 words ask more of a reader's working memory. Some earn the length; most are two sentences wearing a trenchcoat.

Filler words ("very", "really", "basically", "actually", "just") rarely change meaning and often signal a sentence that hasn't been tightened yet.

Reading ease uses the Flesch formula on your syllable, word and sentence counts -- a rough, well-established proxy for how much effort the text asks of a reader.
